1  InterAction CRM Software Components / Web Client / Re: Is there a way to log on: July 05, 2007, 08:03:30 pm
Hi Walter,

Are you just looking to see for what duration of time people are logged into the Web Client?
2  General / General Discussion / New Job Postings Section on: June 15, 2007, 12:52:20 pm
Hi Everyone,

Just wanted to bring your attention to our new 'Job Postings' section on the site.  The postings will be for InterAction-related jobs or contracts.

To post an available position, just register/login and go to the Job Postings page.  There will be a link called 'post a job' that will walk you through the steps.

As always, I look forward to anyone's feedback on how to improve the functionality!

3  InterAction CRM Software Components / Windows Client / Re: How can a data steward make corrections in 'Data Change Inbox' Window? on: May 18, 2007, 02:17:18 pm
Hi,

Let me see if I understand your question correctly...while using the Data Change Management inbox, you would like to reject the ticket created by your sales rep, but also pull up the contact to make further corrections?

It should be as simple as pressing the "Contact Details" button in the inbox.  For a given ticket, you can make the proper edit to the contact, and then reject the reps change.

Let me know if that is what you were looking for!

Hi Ben,

What are you looking to do exactly?  Are you looking to regularly bring in information from an outside system, or just one upload?

5  InterAction CRM Software Components / Windows Client / Re: Activities and Mailing Lists on: March 07, 2007, 11:10:02 am
Hi Connie,

To export information to excel for a group of contacts, first query the contacts that you are referring to in the Windows Client.  For this example, I just pulled up all of our 'Prospects'.

I am assuming you want the mailing lists and activities in separate reports (if that is not the case, let me know and I can walk you through it).  So, lets do the activities export first.

Once you have the contacts queried, go to Folder > Export in the top bar in the Windows Client.   You should now be in the "Export Contacts" window.  Choose a file name for the export, and in the drop down, choose the file format for Microsoft Excel Document (.xls).

I choose the activities example purposely, because as you can see in the 'Export Instruction' there are probably quite a few out-of-the-box exports for mailing lists.  Just choose the one that best fits what you are looking for.

For our activities export though, we need to create a new set of export instructions.  Click "New".  Name should be "Activities" (or whatever you like, but name it so it can be referenced and reused).  Under the "information" tab, choose which fields you want in the report, and "Add" them to the right window.  I choose Company Name (is this a companies or people list? both?) and Activities.

To specify which activites you want exported, highlight "Activities" in the right window, and click "Edit".  Here you can filter by time, type, users, etc.

Now click to the "Sort By" tab and just like a report, choose how you want to sort the data.

Finally, under "securtiy" you can control who has access to your new report.

I hope that helps!  This should allow for faster exports.  Let me know if you have any questions.

6  InterAction CRM Software Components / Web Client / Re: My web client is running really slow... on: February 12, 2007, 10:35:55 pm
We had this problem in our office as well...if your internet speed is good, and the server is functioning properly, it might be your browser.

If you have downloaded the latest version of IE, re-install version 6.0 and see if that does the trick.

8  InterAction CRM Software Components / InterAction Administrator / Skills necessary to run the InterAction Administrator on: January 17, 2007, 03:37:03 am
Hey Everyone,

Just wanted to see what your opinions were on the skill sets that are needed to run your firm's InterAction deployment from the Administrator.

I know there are a lot of firms out there who are considering an InterAction rollout that arent 100% certain what types of people they will actually need to recruit to act as data stewards, Admins, etc.

There isnt a lot of information out there, so I would like to see what you think.
